Guild of Gaming
Founded in the winter of 2024, Guild of Gaming Dumfries began as a way to help foster a small community of tabletop players and hobbyists in the local area but has very quickly snowballed into a massive community hub for kids, adults and everyone in between to come together and enjoy our hobbies. Moving from humble beginnings we very quickly have started running multiple nights on various different activities, acquired our own base of operations in Creswell community centre and hosting grand events having people come across from all over Scotland to take part in!

Our Charity
As a charity we uphold our guilds values for community and inclusion no matter who you are. Below is our ethos as a SCIO Charity.
The Guild of Gaming is established for the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. Through our focus on tabletop gaming, we aim to foster community engagement, civic responsibility, and social integration in Dumfries. Our inclusive gaming sessions are designed to build community bonds, enhance social skills, and promote cultural understanding among participants of all ages. By encouraging strategic thinking and cooperative play, we help participants develop a stronger sense of community identity and personal efficacy, contributing to the overall development and enrichment of our local community.

Miroslav Svec
Hello there. I am Mirek. Father of two who keeps my occupied most of the times. If I get any free time I love to play Boardgames, Paint minis or DnD. I used to play a lot of MTG and won some tournaments as well but after almost 20 years back it's hard to get back... Lastly but not last love to socialise with guys within the guild.
Guild of Gaming simply wouldn’t exist without the passion, dedication, and vision of our founding members—Danny, Scott, Tom, Amber, Badgie, Matt, and Billy. These incredible individuals lit the very first spark that grew into the thriving, welcoming community we are today. From late-night planning sessions to setting up tables and welcoming new faces, they built the foundations of everything we stand for. We’re endlessly grateful for the heart they poured into this guild—thank you for starting the fire that continues to bring people together through play, friendship, and fun.
